My computer is so slow

Postby Sean » Tue Dec 29, 2009 2:45 am

I am so upset recently. My computer runs so slow that I can't work with my computer. It takes 30 seconds to jump into another page. As a matter of fact, I am not good at computer. A few days, I find solutions by looking through a pile of articles. At last, I see a passage. It says that there are many factors causing in my slow running speed.
Firstly, maybe my computer has many programs run and I don't know it. The running programs will take up main memory. The solution is quit the programs which are not necessary to run in my Microsoft running system.
Secondly, my hard drive is full of data, which affect the function. It should be more than 300MB-500MB left to my hard drive. Especially in the C: drive. Delete the unused files and programs in my C: drive to get more space, which is what I should do.
Thirdly, defragmenter my hard drive once a month. Fourthly, if I play games and my computer memory is no more than 256MB. I should upgrade my memory to over 512MB
Fifthly, there are some window device drives get conflicted each other.Go to Safe Mode page, select Start/Settings/Control Panel/System/Devices and Hit on all devices. If there are different drives showing yellow or red marks, it means the drives conflict.
Sixthly, installing and uninstalling each program made the computer slowly. Because when you installed and uninstalled the program, the behind parts of them can slow our computer or get the computer down. We should go to Safe Mode to check. Another way: use cleaning software, such as, Norton Utilities. Otherwise, re-install our computer system. All the old files left by the uninstalled program will be deleted. But this should reload all our programs, drivers and windows settings.
At last, my computer is attacked by viruses, adware, spyware, or Trojans. If so, we should often update our firewall, anti-virus, and spyware removal programs. It is very important otherwise these programs will be out of date and can't protect our computer. To the worst, our computer was down by the attacking of viruses, adware, spyware, or Trojans.
