I have a webcam with an usb cable. For internet instant message applications, it is driverless. Just plug and play. Plug the connector of the USB cable into my computer's USB port and ready to work. The video image pops up whenever I launch or accept a video call. But I want to make a video. It can't do that for me. With the help of my friends, I download a driver and install it for this function. After installing the driver, I plug my webcam, turn it on and start my capture software. Then there is a page with two buttons. Here is the some instruction to make a video:
1. Set capture file folder under "file"
2. Click "start capture" under "capture(R)"
3. Click "stop capture" under "capture(R)". "stop capture" appears only when you are recording a video
4. Open the file from the capture file folder you set.
When finished the video, I try to upload the file. But it failed. Later I found that this file is not the right formatted video file, which can not work actually. I try again and get it resolved by "render", "publish" my video, which will get a video file with MOV MPEG-4, OR MOV. It is important for me to change the format. Next step, I log in my YouTube account, hit the "upload" button and upload my video file following the instruction in the screen. The speed and the size of the video depend on our internet speed, computer speed, cable or something else.
